: When you consider the relationship between an individual and an employer, it's important to understand how well the two are aligned on the core principles and goals of the relationship. The greater the alignment, the greater the combined output of the two sides. While companies can survive and even see success with a workforce which is marginally aligned with its overall environment, mission and core values, it will never reach its optimal potential until the human contribution is solidly aligned; people will stay longer, work harder, feel more engaged and embrace the organizational goals when they feel like the organization aligns with their personal preferences for an environment, values and other key characteristics.
: Our culture assessment is designed to help you understand at a deep level what drives an individual and what environment and organizational culture will facilitate that person making an optimal contribution. When you know the cultural characteristics which helps someone thrive, you have a solid start to understanding how well that individual aligns with your own company culture. Going a step further, using our Alignment Index feature helps you see that level of alignment in an objective way.
: Many companies have a heavy reliance on a job applicant's education and employment experience as indicators of future success within their company. We see the falacy in this, as neither education nor employment background offer any insight into how the person will operate within your unique organizational culture. They may give you guidance on technical expertise, but they do not give any indication about the level of cultural alignment you will see with the individual. By opening up the pool of candidates to those who do not necessarily check certain arbitrary boxes for college education or work history, and considering job applicants who have strong alignment potential with the organizational culture, you broaden your candidate pool and include people previously marginalized by traditional requirements.
: Our assessment looks at a broad range of characteristics which are key to understanding culture alignment. We evaluate 26 factors across 5 main categories: company atmosphere, workplace values, leadership style preferences, key motivators and the behaviors and personality traits the person brings to the daily functions of a job.
: Our test is designed to be completed quickly, yet still yield accurate and reliable information. The average time to complete the culture assessment is about 25 minutes.
: Once the individual completes the assessment, a Workplace Culture Profile report is created and is available for you to view. Additionally, the assessment-taker gets their own version of the Workplace Culture Profile for their own personal growth and self-awareness.
: We see three main differences between our culture assessment and other pre-employment assessments which may also address culture:
1. Other assessments offer no feedback to the individual taking the assessment. With our culture assessment, the individual also gets a copy of the Workplace Culture Profile for their own education and self-awareness. This helps them be better prepared to talk about their own motivations and preferences for workplace culture.
2. Our assessment is far broader and comprehensive than other solutions. We address 26 factors across 5 categories, offering a more complete picture of the individual.
3. Our Alignment Index feature builds an objective, quantifiable comparison between the individual and the organization. By creating this data-oriented comparison we show the level of culture alignment in a quantifiable way, which helps reduce bias in the interpretation of results.
: When an individual completes our culture assessment we generate a Workplace Culture Profile. The Workplace Culture Profile is a comprehensive report showing organizations the culture preferences of an individual in 5 key categories: company atmosphere, workplace values, leadership style preferences, key motivators and the behaviors and personality traits the individual brings to the daily functions of a job.
: In addition to the Workplace Culture Profile, Workzinga offers the Alignment Index feature. This innovative solution allows companies to compare an individual's Workplace Culture Profile to their own organizational culture, in a quantifiable and data-oriented manner. Just as the Workplace Culture Profile shows companies the preferences of an individual across 5 categories, the Alignment Index shows how well aligned the individual is with the company in those same categories, as well as having an overall alignment percentage.
: The baseline we use for the Alignment Index is created using brief surveys the company will send to key individuals in the organization. By answering a brief set of questions designed to help Workzinga understand certain characteristics of the organization, we can quickly generate a baseline comparison. You'll simply identify who the right people are in your company to take each survey (don't worry - we can help you figure out who to invite), they'll spend a few minutes taking the survey and you'll immediately have your baseline - it's that easy!
: There are three types of comparison surveys: workplace culture, leadership styles and job persona.
1. The workplace culture baseline helps us understand the atmosphere, environment, values, etc... of your organization. We suggest sending this to someone who has a true and authentic understanding of your organizational culture. You could send it to more than one person if you'd like - we can help you create a group comparison which includes everyone's view.
2. The leadership styles baseline helps us understand the leadership style of the person taking the survey. If you want to compare an individual's Workplace Culture Profile to a certain manager (perhaps a hiring manager), this allows us to understand how well the individual and the manager will mesh in terms of leadership style.
3. The job persona baseline helps us understand the behaviors and personality traits necessary for a specific role or job. This will help us compare an individual's traits to those which are critical for a particular job. We suggest having a rockstar performer who performs the job well already take this comparison; you could also consider the supervisor for the role taking this baseline.
: Absolutely...you can create as many baseline comparisons as you'd like. In fact, we recommend completing one baseline per physical location since organizational culture can be subtly different from one location to another. You could also create baselines per department, division or whatever other categorization makes sense for your organization.
: No - only when you want to have a comparison created which includes a particular manager would you need a survey to be done. There is no need to have everyone proactively complete the survey...you can wait until it's actually needed.
: The more accurate your baseline comparison, the more useful the Alignment Index will be, so we recommend a comparison for each unique position. If you have surveys completed already which would work for a particular role, there is no need to ask anyone in the company to complete a new comparison survey.
: The company comparisons are brief, but they're critical to the accurate calculation of the Alignment Index. The average time to complete the company comparisons range from 3 minutes to 10 minutes.
: There is not a single percentage that indicates a "good" alignment. It will depend on each organization, and even within a company it may depend on a particular position or department...so there is not a single right answer to this question. It will also depend on which portions of the report show higher alignment and what areas have lower alignment levels. Are some areas more important to you than others? What are your deal breakers? We designed our solution so that you have more information available to you, and we do offer some general parameters on the Workplace Culture Profile with Alignment Report around strong alignment - but ultimately you get to decide what a "good" percentage is for your organization.

: Our pricing structure has two components - a monthly subscription which gives you access to our platform, and a metered fee so you're only paying for the actual number of assessments used each month. There is no bulk purchase of assessments requiring a huge upfront cost, no license or seat fees and no pricey onboarding or implementation fees.
If you want to use the Workplace Culture Profile, it's $39 per month and $35 per assessment (first assessment each month is free)
If you want to use the Workplace Culture Profile with Alignment Index, it's $199 per month and $65 per assessment (two assessments each month are free)
: No, all packages are month-to-month, so there is no big up front annual payment to make.
: When you onboard you will set up your billing account in Stripe, and payments are automatically processed each month. You will receive an invoice via email.

: We will schedule an onboarding call, which typically lasts about 25 minutes. Our Experience team will walk you through using the platform, sending invitations to individuals, setting up your company baselines, retrieving the Workplace Culture Profiles and how to get support for any ongoing questions.
We also encourage new clients to bring an example of how they want to use the Workplace Culture Profile in their daily operations with them to the Onboarding Call and we can help them get it set up during that call - so you can be up and running with your very first assessment by the end of the call.
